The Magician's Mirror is a one of the most unique pieces in the world of Alex Streeter, beautiful and mysterious in its asymmetry. A companion piece to the Magician's Mirror Ring, the Black Onyx "mirror" hangs with the help of two slithering serpents, originally carved in wax and finely textured with granulation.
The Magician's Mirror is inspired by the Black Scrying Mirrors revered for centuries for their ability to penetrate the veil between worlds. Mirror gazing, or scrying, is an ancient art for making contact with the dead, looking into the future and past, and seeing far-away locations...
This necklace was once loaned to Jimmy Page for a shoot in Guitar Aficianado, who liked the necklace so much he called us up to ask if he could buy it.
