Once while traveling abroad on his own, Alex was struck with a bout of homesickness and so created this series dedicated to the cityscape of Old New York. Carved in the late 1990’s, this piece captures a moment in time just before our skyline was changed forever. Scanning from left to right, fans of NYC architecture might recognize the Lord and Taylor Building, the Woolworth Building, the Flat-Iron Building, the Empire State Building, the MetLife Building, Rockefeller Center, the Plaza Hotel, the New York Public Library - and at the center of it all, the World Trade Center. We have re-released this series as a tribute to ours, the Greatest City in the World.
We'll never send more than one email a week, promise.
