The Cicada - an ancient creature whose behavior remains a mystery still today. Every 17 years, the Cicada emerges from the ground, ascending to this earthly realm in droves. The Young Cicadas frolick and sing, discarding their shells in order to be reborn as adults. In fact, the summer of 2021 marks the return of the Cicada in many parts of the United States. In their honor we have delved into the archives to bring you this little inhabitant of Alex's miniature world. 

Carved in the 1980's, the Cicada is a successor to the famous Superfly Ring. This carving presents a more delicate creature that measures just over 1.3" in length. The Cicada is available as earrings or a pendant, set with your choice of Green Onyx or Citrine.
