The Comet Cross, part-hippie, part-biker, is a piece that perfectly encapsulates the uniqueness of Alex’s Streeter’s work. The Maltese Cross is fused with swallow-tail details and beaming rays of light inspired by English Bobby hats. These details add a peaceful and otherworldly effect to a symbol otherwise preferred by motorcycle gangs. This cross was designed for Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World” Tour (later to be known as the “Dangerous Tour), and is intended to be worn as “a cosmic award of compassion.”
