Steer Skull Bolo Tie
The Steer Skull was carved after one of Alex’s first trips to Tucson over a decade ago. During this time he visited the Tohono O’odham Nation Reservation and explored the Sonoran desert, known to be the hottest desert in the United States. At the same time, it is also home to more species of flora and fauna than any other desert. This piece speaks to the cyclical nature of life and death, of mortality and landscapes carved by the passage of time.
