A pagan take on the central Christian symbol - a cross becomes a tree, the symbol of worship to the ancient druids of old.  Religious rites were held in the cathedral of the forest, where the 7 sacred families of trees (Oak, Ash, Apple, Hazel, Alder, Elder and Yew) were considered to be the dwelling of the many nature spirits.
