The serpent bracelet was born out of Alex’s fascination with the Katana collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. One Japanese sword in particular caught his eye, a blade that featured two snakes woven around the hilt. The highly unforgiving wax granulation technique affords this piece a wonderful texture. Carved in the 1980’s, this bracelet is one of the best examples of Alex’s self-taught style.
