As a young child, Alex Streeter grew up exploring the endless, shadowy hallways of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Queen of the Flies Necklace was inspired by an ancient artifact he discovered there; a collar of flies located in the Egyptian Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Alex’s modern interpretation presents a series of linked, hand-carved horseflies in 18K gold or silver-plated bronze.
